Narendra Modi Biography 

Narendra Damodardas Modi (pronunciation: Information: Gujarati: Narendra Damodardas Modi; born: September 17, 1950) is the 14th Prime Minister of India from 2014 and Varanasi MP. He is a free India, Narendra Modi  is the Prime Minister of India Is the first person born in Before that, he has been Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014. Modi is a member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and RSS.

Narendra Modi Born in a Gujarati family of Vadnagar, Modi helped his father in selling tea in his childhood, and later started his own stall. He joined the RSS at the age of eight, with whom he has been associated for a long time. After graduation, he left his house. Modi traveled across India for two years, and visited many religious centers. In 1969 or 1970, he returned to Gujarat and moved to Ahmedabad. In 1971 he became a full-time worker for RSS In 1975, during the state of emergency, he had to hide for some time. In 1985, he joined BJP and worked in several posts within the party hierarchy till 2001, from where he gradually reached the post of Secretary.

Following Gujarat's earthquake 2001, (earthquake in Bhuj), Narendra Modi was appointed Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2001 due to the poor health and poor public image of then Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel of Gujarat. Modi was soon elected to the Legislative Assembly. His administration was considered harsh in the 2002 Gujarat riots, during which his conduct was criticized.  Although the Special Investigation Team (SIT) appointed by the Supreme Court did not find any evidence to prosecute the prosecution.  As Chief Minister, his policies were credited for encouraging economic development.

Under his leadership Bharatiya Janata Party's main opposition party Bharatiya Janata Party contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and won 282 seats and achieved unprecedented success. As an MP, he is a cultural city of Uttar Pradesh, Varanasi and Vadodara parliamentary constituency of his hometown of Gujarat. Contested and won the victory from both the seats. [10] He is also the most sought after Indian leader on micro-blogging site Twitter Are there. They are also known as 'Namo'. Time magazine has included Modi in the list of 42 candidates for Person of the Year 2013.

Like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Narendra Modi is a politician and poet. Apart from the Gujarati language, he writes poems written in patriotism even in Hindi.

Narendra Modi was born in Vadnagar village of Maheshana district of Bombay state in the middle of a middle-class family of Hiraben Modi and Damodardas Mulchand Modi on 17 September 1950.  He was the third among six children born. Modi's family was from the 'Modh-Ghanchi-Teli' community,  which is classified as the other backward class by the Indian government.  He is a wholly vegetarian.  During his youth during the Second War, he volunteered to serve the soldiers traveling on railway stations. In the youth he joined the Students' Union All India Students Council. He also participated in the anti-corruption movement in the anti-corruption movement. After working as a full time organizer, he was nominated as the representative of the organization in the Bharatiya Janata Party. Modi, who ran a tea shop with his brother in adolescence, completed his schooling in Vadnagar.  While being an RSS pracharak, he did postgraduate examination in Political Science from Gujarat University in 1980 and got a M.Sc. degree.

In the total of six children of his parents, the third son, Narendra, also helped his father in selling tea at the railway station in his childhood. [23] [24] According to a school master of Badnagar, Narendra though an average student But he was very interested in debate and drama competitions. [23] Apart from this, his interest was also to start new projects on political topics. [25]

At the age of 13, Narendra's engagement was done with Jasoda Ben Chamanlal and when he got married, he was only 17 years old. According to a report from Financial Express, spouse spent some years living together.  But after some time, they both became strangers to each other because Narendra Modi had expressed similar wish to them. The biographer of Narendra Modi does not believe that. He says:

"Both of them got married, but they never lived together. After a few years of marriage, Narendra Modi gave up his home and in a way his marital life was almost finished."

After remaining silent on his marital status in the last four assembly elections, Narendra Modi said that he did not commit any sin by giving information about being single. According to Narendra Modi, the unmarried person can fight against corruption in a strong way because of a married man, because he has no concern for his wife, family and children.  Though Narendra Modi presented an affidavit, Jasodaben accepted his wife .

Early activism and politics of Narendra Modi 

When Narendra was a student of the University, he started regularly in the branch of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Thus, his life started as a loyal campaigner of the Sangh [22] [31] He showed political activism from early life and played a major role in strengthening the Janata Party's base. Narendra Modi's strategy was to strengthen Shankarsinh Vaghela's support in Gujarat.

In April 1990, when the era of coalition governments started in the center, Modi's hard work brought color, when the Bharatiya Janata Party in the elections of 1995 in Gujarat got its two-thirds majority and formed the government. During this time, two national incidents and decrease in this country. The first incident was the rath yatra from Somnath to Ayodhya in which Advani's Chief Sarathi was the main contributor of Narendra in the movie. In 1998, he was given the responsibility of National Mahamantri (Organization) by promoting him. In this post, he continued to work till October 2001. Bharatiya Janata Party removed Keshubhai Patel in October 2001 and handed over the Gujarat Chief Minister's post to Narendra Modi.

In 2001, Keshubhai Patel's health started deteriorating, and many seats were lost in the BJP elections. After this, the National President of BJP keeps Modi as the new Chief Minister in the form of a new candidate. Although BJP leader LK Advani was concerned about the lack of experience of running Modi's government. Modi turned down the proposal to become Patel's deputy chief minister and told Advani and Atal Bihari Vajpayee that if Gujarat is to give responsibility, do not give it otherwise. On October 3, 2001, it became Chief Minister of Gujarat instead of Keshubhai Patel. At the same time, he had full responsibility for the elections to be held in December 2002.


Narendra Modi started his first tenure of Chief Minister from October 7, 2001. After this Modi contested the Rajkot assembly election. In which Congress defeated Ashwin Mehta by 14,728 votes.

Narendra Modi is known for his specific lifestyle in the entire political circles. Only three people live in their personal staff, there is no heavy staff. But the person who lives like a Karmayogi is all familiar with the nature of Modi, and in this way he does not appear to have any difficulty in exercising his work.  They never used to take any action in the destruction of many such Hindu temples in Gujarat which were not made according to the official law laws. However, for this, he had to become a scion of organizations such as the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, but he did not care about it; Which kept them appropriately. He is a popular speaker, who listen to a very large number of listeners even today. In addition to kurta-pajama and sadari, they also occasionally wear suits. In addition to his mother tongue, he speaks in Hindi only.

Narendra Modi was given the command of the 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign by the BJP Working Committee in Goa. In the meeting of the Parliamentary Board on September 13, 2013, he was declared the Prime Ministerial candidate for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. On this occasion, party's top leader LK Advani was not present and party president Rajnath Singh announced it. After Modi declared the candidate for the post of prime minister, the command of election campaign was handed over to Rajnath Singh. After the prime ministerial candidate was made, Modi's first rally took place in Rewari city of Haryana province.

As an MP candidate, he contested two Lok Sabha seats in the country from Varanasi and Vadodara and won both the constituencies.

Three major surveys conducted by News Agencies and Magazines had described Narendra Modi as the public's first choice for the post of Prime Minister. According to the AC Voter Poll survey, Narendra Modi as the candidate for the post of PM The NDA's vote percentage was expected to get 179 to 220 seats with an increase of five percent. In September 2013, Nielsen Holding and Economic Tie Out of the top 100 Indian corporations, which were published by Ms, 74 corporates, Narendra Modi and 7, referred Rahul Gandhi to a better Prime Minister. Nobel laureate economist Amartya Sen does not consider Modi as a better Prime Minister. This is what he said in an interview. In his view, his acceptance may be questionable in the Muslims, while Jagdish Bhagwati and Arvind Panghariya find Modi's economics better. [81] Youth Guru Swami Ramdev and Murari Bapu supported Narinder Modi.

After being declared the party's candidate from the party, Narendra Modi traveled all over India. During this, traveling a total of 3 lakh kilometers, organized a total of 5827 programs including 437 big election rallies, 3-D meetings and discussion on tea. He started the election campaign on March 26, 2014 with the blessings of Mother Vaishno Devi, from Jammu and concluded in Mangal Pandey's birthplace, Ballia. After the independence, the people of India saw a wonderful election campaign. [83] Not only that, the Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of Narendra Modi also achieved unprecedented success in the 2014 elections.


In the elections where the National Democratic Alliance emerged as the largest parliamentary party by winning 336 seats, the Bharatiya Janata Party alone won 282 seats. Congress was limited to only 44 seats and its alliance had to satisfy itself with only 59 seats. [7] Narendra Modi is the only person born in India who was the 14th Chief Minister of Gujarat for nearly 13 years from 2001 to 2014. And became the 15th Prime Minister of India.

There is also a historical fact that the opposition will have to unite for the election of Leader-Opposition as no single party has touched the figure of 10 percent of the total Lok Sabha seats.

When people were entering a joint meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Party and Allies organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party in Parliament House on May 20, 2014, Narendra Modi bowed to the Parliament just like anybody before entering Praised devotees in the holy temple. In the history of Parliament House, he did this by presenting an example for all MPs. In the meeting, Narendra Modi was elected unanimously as the leader of the BJP Parliamentary Party but also the NDA. The President entrusted Narendra Modi as the 15th Prime Minister of India and duly submitted a letter of this effect. Narendra Modi took oath of office on Monday, May 26, 2014.

Resigned from Vadodara seat

Narendra Modi won the highest percentage of Lok Sabha elections in 2014, resigned from the Vadodara seat of Gujarat and decided to represent the Varanasi seat of Uttar Pradesh in Parliament and announced that he would develop this ancient city with the service of Ganga.

Honours and awards

In April 2016 Narendra Modi, the highest civilian honor of Saudi Arabia, has been honored by 'The Order of Abdulaziz Al Saud'.
In June 2016, Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani honored Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Amir Amanullah Khan Award, Afghanistan's highest civilian award.
September 2018: 'Champions of the Earth Award' - Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given this honor for the resolution of freeing the country from the International Solar Coalition and the one-time used plastic.
The United Nations Environment Program has issued a statement saying that-

This year's award winners are being honored for courageous, innovative and untiring efforts to deal with some of the most urgent environmental issues of today's time. In the category of policy leadership, President of France Emmanuel Macroon and Narendra Modi have been jointly selected for this honor.
